Sarah-Jane and Scot got married at my favourite church, well, anywhere I think – the magnificent St James Church in Louth and their reception was at Kenwick Park Hotel. I love shooting weddings at that church because there is just so much room, and they also let you go up on a little balcony for a unique view. Wedding photography at Kenwick Park Hotel is great because it not only has a large function room, but also has some great grounds outside with lovely old trees and features.
The day started in the morning at Sarah-Jane’s mum’s house in Louth for the bridal preparations where I was greeted by the bride and bridesmaids in their pyjamas excited for the day ahead. Once the hair and makeup had been done and I got a few photos of Sarah-Jane in her beautiful dress, I was off to the Wheatsheaf pub to catch the boys finishing their nerve steadying pint.
It was then onto the church for the start of the ceremony. Once the lovely ceremony was over, I took the guests outside for the confetti shots and the large group shot and then we all left for the start of the reception at Kenwick Park Hotel.
Once the formal group shots were completed, it was time for the speeches and the meal. Sarah_jane and Scot were great sports on the day and I managed to persuade them to stand outside in the pouring rain for a couple of minutes.
