About this time last year I had the pleasure of being Alex and Sam’s wedding photographer at Tattershall Castle. This beautiful venue located in Horncastle near Louth was a perfect choice for their wedding and believe it or not, was my first time shooting a wedding there and I can’t wait to go back.
I started my day meeting up with Alex and the girls getting ready for her wedding at The Admiral Rodney Hotel a part of the day I always love – the bridal preparations.
Alex and Sam’s wedding ceremony at Tattershall Castle was exquisite with lots of laughter and a few tear along the way. As a wedding photographer in Lincolnshire, I always have a fantastic time photographing civil ceremonies as they are a more laid back affair than church ceremonies.
I got to take the couple round on a tour of the castle to capture some stunning bride and groom portraits during their wedding at Tattershall Castle. Alex and Sam were also lucky to have a sunny day, which I was really pleased about, and meant we could get outside for some group shots in front of the castle.
During the reception, drinks were served generously for guests to enjoy and I was happy drifting among them to allow me to capture the best unposed shots and witness the the stories unfold as the hours go by.
Alex and Sam treated their guests with a top notch wedding breakfast right before the speeches. The speeches are a great part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer.
The evening began and the DJ definitely pulled it off, the wedding floor got crowded while the newlyweds were showing off their best moves.
I really enjoyed photographing Alex and Sam’s Tattershall Castle wedding it was indeed a special day and I felt buzzing by the time I left.
