Scrivelsby Walled Garden Wedding Photographer for Parice & Sean
I was incredibly grateful and humbled to be shooting this wedding, which was in the middle of the covid pandemic of 2020. This was my one and only wedding of the year, because all my others had been cancelled or postponed and it was for a very special reason that this wedding hadn’t been cancelled, the bride’s father had been diagnosed with cancer and they of course, wanted him at the wedding, before it was too late. Postponing was not an option.
The Venue
Nestled in the heart of Lincolnshire, near Horncastle, Scrivelsby Walled Garden provided an idyllic setting for Parice and Sean’s celebration of love. The historic charm of the walled garden, with its vibrant flowers and lush greenery, created a fairy-tale atmosphere that set the stage for a truly enchanting wedding. Just outside the grounds or the walled garden is a beautiful church – used especially for weddings, and this is where they chose to have their intimate and emotional ceremony.
Every aspect of Parice and Sean’s wedding was meticulously planned, from the delicate floral arrangements to the personalised touches that reflected the couple’s unique style.
Bridal Preparations
The day started, as it always does, with me attending the bridal preparations making sure I capture all the details and the buzz of excitement, because remember, the groom does not actually get to see any of this part of the day, so it is also a good record for him to look back on.
Because Sean and “the boys”, were getting ready round the corner, I had the chance to quickly catch up with them before we all headed off to the church.
The Ceremony
Because it was mid-covid, it was a very very small and intimate wedding – it didn’t make it any less special though, and dozens of people waited outside the church for them to throw confetti over them.
The bride and groom portraits
Once the vows had been exchanged and the confetti thrown, I took the happy newly weds into the grounds of Scrivelsby walled garden for the all important bride and groom wedding portraits.
The Reception
From then, it was the short car journey back to Louth, for the rest of the celebrations – The Ranch Restaurant. it was an ideal location, because the bride and groom know the owners well, they could arrange the room with covid restrictions is place appropriately.
The speeches were great, the dancing was brilliant and the DJ was awesome.
What a wonderful day – thank you for letting me be your Scrivelsby Walled garden wedding photographer.
