Victoria & Gareth got married at Old Clee Church and had their reception at the fantastic Oaklands Hall Hotel.
My day started with the bridal preparations which were at Victoria’s parents house. I was was greeted by Victoria and a very excited Alex, her daughter, whose picture you can see below. From the house, it was onto the church at Old Clee to wait for Gareth to turn up. Having met Gareth a few times I knew he was a bit of a joker and enjoyed a laugh and we certainly weren’t let down today! Every opportunity he had he was making people laugh, which, as a wedding photographer, is exactly what you need!
Victoria arrived with her father in vintage car with Gareth eagerly awaiting at the alter. There were no tears at all throughout the ceremony, with Gareth’s father just managing to keep them at bay for his reading. The tears came a bit later, from Victoria actually, outside the church, which was lovely and a bit surprising! From there, it was onwards for some stunning wedding photography at the Oaklands Hotel.
Once the group shots were out of the way, it was time for the speeches which I might add were excellent – lots of laughter from Gareth’s and his best man’s, and lots of tears from everybody else when Alex did a small speech, it was beautiful and very touching.
When the meal had finished it was time to party! I stayed to document the day up until after the first dance.
Congratulations Victoria and Gareth and wonderful day!
