Saturday before last saw me with Hannah and Ian for their Broughton Wedding. There was no bridal preparation coverage for me today so I met up with Ian and the boys in the pub across the road from the church. After a pint of nerve-easing Guinness, they made their way to the church to wait for the arrival of Hannah, her father and the bridesmaids.
The theme of this wedding, as you’ll see from the photos below, was vintage, and to prove the point, Hannah arrived in a fantastic vintage bus which briefly had no choice but to hold up traffic! Once the ceremony was complete, the group shots were taken in the large grounds of the church and then it was off on the long trek across the road (!) to the village hall for the reception.
The hall had been decked out beautifully with old fashioned tea cups and saucers, bunting everywhere, a sweet trolley, and old posters and tea towels from back in the day. They had also hired a fantastic brass band and you can see a photo of the singer below.
I stayed for the speeches and right through until after the dancing. It was a lovely laid-back wedding.
Congratulations guys and all the best for the future!
