Angelique and Danny got married at the beautiful Healing Manor Hotel, which in my opinion is one of the best wedding venues in the area. The staff are all friendly, attentive and helpful and the large grounds at Healing Manor are perfect for wedding photography. So of course, when Angelique and Danny asked me to be their wedding photographer at Healing Manor I jumped at the chance!
The day started as always with the bridal preparations which is one of my favourite parts of the day. As I like to tell the story of the day with my wedding photography, the bridal prep has some of the best moments to allow for this. Angelique was in good spirits and the bridemaids all excited about the upcoming events.
How’s about this for arriving for your Healing Manor Wedding in style? Danny had booked three minis a-la The Italian Job style, and they certainly looked the part and was a large talking point of the day.
For the ceremony the had booked a humanist celebrate to facilitate their wedding – which was a first for me. Unfortunately though, he requested no wedding photos during the service. So I sat back and waited.
The guests were then invited outside to see the next treat in store of the day – an ice cream van! The kids went crazy for their free ice-creams. This was a very welcome addition to their lovely wedding day because it was perhaps the hottest day I can recall being a wedding photographer. Credit to Angelique and Danny – even though the were melting in the mid afternoon sun whilst I completed the group shots, they just got on with it!
The speeches were lovely and somehow Angelique’s dad managed to reduce rather a large proportion of the guests to tears!
I stayed for the dancing then when I was officially off duty I had a quick drink and catch up with some friends who were guests there.
The most enjoyable days being a wedding photographer are made by the people I get to photograph and these two were top and the had such great people around them!
Please take time to look through a few of my favourite photos from their Healing Manor wedding.
As always, if you like what you see, please feel free to leave a comment, either for myself or a few best wishes to the happy couple.
If you are having your wedding at Healing Manor and would like me to be your official photographer – please do get in touch!
