Kirsty and Tim got married at the wonderful Newark wedding venue Kelham House. I was looking forward to shooting at Kelham House, as I knew it would be a stunning venue. The country manor dates back to 1903 and boast huge grounds and ample rooms – ideal to host your wedding in Newark.
I met up with Tim and best man Matt (whose wedding I shot two years ago here) as they arrived at the hotel which was safe because Kirsty was still finishing off at the hairdressers. Tim was in good spirits and Matt was as cheeky as ever as they showed me around the property so I could get a good feel for the place.
I then met up with Kirsty and her bridesmaids for the remaining bridal preparations. It was a glorious, sunny day and the light was just exquisite! It made ideal conditions for wedding photos at Kelham House.
The ceremony room is design specifically for weddings and functions and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the room. I waited patiently with Tim and the rest of the guests for Kirsty’s arrival.
The ceremony was lovely and Tim almost couldn’t contain his emotions but just about held it together.
Once the ceremony was over, it was outside for the drinks reception and the formal group shots – we were very lucky with the weather!
After I taken Kirsty and Tim for a quick walk around the grounds for the portraits, it was time to be seated for the meal and speeches, which were funny and well though out.
During the evening reception t here was a nice surprise awaiting Kirsty – Tim and Matt (who had never picked up a guitar until three months prior), played and sang her a tune which she thoroughly enjoyed.
I stayed until after the dancing and the partying was nicely kicking in! Congratulations you two, it was a smashing day!

Amazing photos Aiden cannot wait to see the rest! We all had a fantastic day with family and friends and you added to that with your sunny personalility and sense of humour.
