Philippa and Alex had their wedding at the magnificent St James Church in Louth, and their reception and the beautiful Walled Garden in Scrivelsby, a new wedding venue for me! The Walled Garden wedding venue is set back from the road and would be quite easy to miss if you didn’t know it was there, and is exactly as described; a large square garden with a high walls around it, very secluded and very unique! It is the perfect venue for a wedding in Lincolnshire.
The day started for me at Philippa’s parents’ house for the bridal preparations where I was greeted with an offering of coffee and biscuits!
The ceremony went well and St James is such a special place to get married with it’s awe inspiring gothic beauty.
The reception at the walled garden was such a special event, even though it was a baking hot day – it was so quiet and peaceful. I was also very privileged to see The Shannon Reilly Trio – the very excellent jazz band who provided the music – try and catch them if you get the chance!
Philippa and Alex’s Walled Garden wedding was a pleasure to be a part of and I wish the happy couple all the best for the future.
