Sammy & Billy’s wedding was my first time as a Boston wedding photographer and I loved every minute of it. They got married in the magnificent St Botolph’s Church (more commonly known as the Boston Stump) and what a ceremony it was, but more about that shortly.
I met up with Sammy at a salon to catch the last part of the bridal preparations, and then it was onto her mum’s house which was soon full of busy excited women – it was great fun! From there I met up with Billy and his best man and his football team of ushers! I’m not kidding – I’ve never seen so many men support their good friend getting married. You can see just how many from one of the photos below.
Everyone eventually went inside and filled up the church and waiting for Sammy to arrive. Sammy arrived on a beautiful white horse and cart with her brother and the tears started flowing before she even set foot in the church and the barely stopped for the whole ceremony. It was very touching, one of the nicest and most moving ceremonies I’ve seen as my many years as a wedding photographer.
Once the ceremony had completed, we went outside and shot all the group shots outside the in the church grounds (a family tradition apparently).
It was then onto the beautifully decorated reception for the meal and the speeches and the dancing. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Price it was a wonderful day! All the best for the future.
