Weddings at The Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa – Jessica and Iain
Way back in May last year, I was very privileged to photograph Jessica and Iain’s wedding at The Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa. Petwood Hotel is a beautiful scenic location for a wedding with huge grounds and that I never have enough time to photograph all of! It’s always a pleasure being a Petwood Hotel wedding photographer, you couldn’t ask for a more fantastic venue to get married at.
As always, I started the day by photographing the bride getting ready and Jessica began her preparations at her Parents House. There was a lot of excitement as I photographed the bride and her bridal party during their hair and makeup session.
Jessica and Iain’s nearest and dearest filled St Peter’s Church to witness the happy couple exchange vows in an emotional ceremony. It’s always moments like this that make my job as a Lincolnshire wedding photographer so rewarding.
Once the ceremony was complete and the confetti had been thrown we all made our way to the Petwood Hotel for the reception. It was a lovely atmosphere and everyone really enjoyed themselves as I drifted amongst the guests to allow me capture informal and candid wedding moments and witness the stories unfold as the hours go by.
I recall the day being sunny sunny day, which made my job as a wedding photographer at Petwood Hotel much easier.
After the delicious wedding breakfast, it was time to photograph the speeches. Capturing speeches on camera is alwasy tricky – how can you photograph words? Instead, you have to capture the emotions – the tears, and the laughter, not just from the speakers but also the intently listening audience.
The evening festivities started with the cutting of the cake and the bride and groom’s first dance. Unfortunately I have to leave as the evening is just getting going but I could tell the rest of the night was going to be a blast! Congratulations Jessica and Iain – what a fantastic wedding!
