Priory Hotel Weddings and why I love them!
As a Priory Hotel wedding photographer, the photos almost take themselves because The Priory Hotel is a charming wedding venue nestled in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, that boasts stunning grounds, historic architecture, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to celebrate anyone’s special day. Whether you are planning an intimate gathering or a grand affair, the Priory Hotel has everything you need to create a wedding day to remember.
One of the most striking features of the Priory Hotel is its beautiful gardens – which of course is a wedding photographer’s dream, and I have been very lucky to have the opportunity to be a Priory Hotel Wedding photographer on many occasions.
The hotel sits on several acres of manicured lawns and flower beds, providing the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. There are several outdoor areas to choose from, including a romantic gazebo, a secluded courtyard, and a charming walled garden. Each space is unique, and you are sure to find the perfect spot to exchange your vows.
Priory Hotel Wedding Photographer for Cheryl and Ross
It’s always a creative pleasure to photograph the bridal preparations at The Priory Hotel in Louth, because the building is so old and quirky and the bedroom are small but full of character. But even though they look small, the ample light shining through the windows makes them look deceptively bigger.
I was greeted by Cheryl and her cohort of happy bridesmaids – who lets be honest, made my job a hell of a lot easier. I made sure I took the time to capture images of the little details as well as the atmosphere , all whilst the bride and bridesmaids get on with their tasks – all part of the day for an unobtrusive wedding photographer.
Priory Hotel Wedding Ceremony
I had the rare privilege of being able to photographer a wedding ceremony in the old folly next to the pond in the beautiful grounds and I was very much looking forward to this opportunity!
I got the chance to catch up with Ross and his two best men whilst he nervously awaited Cheryl to arrive. I could tell he was quite nervous bless him but he absolutely had nothing to worry about!
The ceremony went very well – and I got the opportunity to capture plenty of natural wedding photos throughout.
Bride and Groom photography at The Priory Hotel
Once the ceremony was over and the bride and groom had a chance to personally greet all their guests, I took some time to take some portraits of the happy couple. This usually involves just me and the bride and groom (sometimes I grab a bridesmaid to help with small details) to allow them time away from the busyness and a bit of chill time. The ample grounds allow plenty of creative opportunities and Cheryl and Ross were certainly very willing!
The Wedding Reception
The reception was a lot of fun! Garden games, outdoor ceilidhs, “Mr & Mrs” game during the speeches – the lot! It was a pleasure to photograph their day, and I thank Cheryl and Ross for inviting me along as your Priory Hotel wedding photographer!
