Weddings at The White Hart Hotel
Last August saw me at the amazing wedding venue in Lincoln, The White Hart Hotel. I have been a wedding photographer there many times before so know how special this venue is, especially the roof top view of the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral (see below) wow!
The day started by documenting the bridal preparations in their well known bridal suite, where a certain Tom Hanks stayed whilst filming The Davinci Code! I was greeted by Sophie, her sister, her mum and her best friend, who all looked excited and happy to celebrate the day ahead.
The ceremony, which also took place at the White Hart Hotel, was, as you can see from the photographs, full of emotions. There was even a few tears from the groom! The ceremony room at the hotel always makes for great photos because of the amount light in the room brought in through the huge ceiling window they have installed there.
Once the ceremony was complete, I quickly took the bride and groom and all their guest for a short walk to the side of the cathedral for the group shots, which always makes a wonderful backdrop for these kinds of photos. I let the guests walk back to the hotel to allow for some intimate portraits of the bride and groom around the cathedral grounds.
Back at the hotel for the reception, I enjoyed walking amongst the guest to capture candid natural photos of them chatting and enjoying their drinks and canapés, after which they were then invited to their seats for the wedding breakfast. Once the wedding guests were suitably stuffed from their three course meal, it was time for them to sit back and enjoy the speeches, where I managed to capture some real emotions during some very funny and very moving moments.
The wedding ended on a perfect note as the bride and groom showcased their best moves on the dance floor. It was a brilliant day and I was very glad to be a part of it.
