Last Saturday saw me at Woodthorpe Hall Caravan and Leisure Park near Alford. As a Lincolnshire wedding photographer I have seen many Lincolnshire wedding venues but this was a new one on me.
The say started in Sutton-On-Sea to meet up with Amy and her bridesmaids for the bridal preparations. The house was full of happiness and fun and no stressing at all, exactly how it should be.
From there it was the short drive to a tiny place called Markby in the heart of Lincolnshire to a cracking little church which had been beautifully renovated. I met up with Michael and the boys for a few shots of him and his dog! I spent a good few minutes trying to get a decent photo of said pet and I eventually succeeded.
For the build up to the ceremony there was again, tears from the groom which is always lovely to see and becoming a very regular occurrence for me!
From the church we all went onto Woodthorpe Hall, a large leisure park and golf club. Within the grounds of Woodthorpe Hall is a bar called Woody’s, which is where the reception was held. The room had been decorated beautifully and for me personally the piece de resistance was the fantastic “cheese cake” – yes a selection of cheeses built into the shape of a wedding cake.
Interestingly, it was the groom Michael’s birthday and even more interestingly, it was mine too! So a celebration all round then. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bryan!
